LEED HERO

LEED

LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is one of the most widely recognised systems worldwide for measuring the sustainability of buildings. International companies in particular opt for LEED in order to apply a consistent standard across different countries and sites.

For you, this means: a clear, internationally recognised way to substantiate your building’s performance and communicate it to stakeholders.

What does LEED assess?

Under the LEED scheme, your building is assessed against various sustainability criteria, ranging from energy and water to material use and innovation. A key pillar is Indoor Environmental Quality, which focuses on the well-being and productivity of occupants.

This includes assessing air quality, ventilation and CO₂ monitoring, as well as thermal comfort, lighting and acoustics. Factors such as drinking water quality and views of the outdoor environment also play a role.

Other categories, such as energy performance, water use and the building’s location, contribute indirectly to a healthier and more efficient working environment.

From score to certificate

Based on the points achieved, your building can attain one of four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum.

The right strategy makes all the difference here. Without clear priorities, you run the risk of incurring unnecessary costs or missing out on opportunities. With the right approach, you can align your ambitions with your budget, feasibility and impact.

How do you go about achieving LEED certification?

A LEED process involves more than simply ticking off criteria. It’s about making smart choices throughout the entire project.

We guide you from the initial analysis right through to certification. This begins with an assessment of the potential certification level, the cost and the added value. We then help you select the right credits based on feasibility and impact.

During the design and construction phases, we ensure a structured approach, including the necessary documentation and follow-up. Finally, we also provide support during the final assessment and audit.

What is the added value for your organisation?

LEED certification strengthens your position in several areas. You make your building more attractive to tenants and staff, reduce operational costs and meet the market’s increasingly stringent sustainability expectations.

At the same time, a certificate remains a means to an end, not an end in itself. It helps you to demonstrate and showcase your efforts, but the real value lies in the structural improvements to your building and organisation.
